HARDWOOD KITCHENS
I have to say oak is my personal favourite, there is no other wood quite like it.
It has a warmth and beauty that just makes you want to run your hand over it.
Richard
The truly fascinating thing about oak is that no two trees are ever the same. the colour and grain features are unique, which means that two identically designed kitchens made from two separate trees will look so very different.
By design and carefully selecting the oak for your kitchen we can create just the look and feel that really does complement your home.
To give you an idea of the variation in oak here is part of our classification list we use at Crick House: Prime, 2nd prime, light pippy, medium pippy, heavy pippy, light character, medium character, rustic, light character/medium pip,..........the list goes on. Whether you are passionate about wood or simply just looking for that touch of uniqueness, an oak kitchen cannot be bettered.
If you are looking for a contemporary kitchen, maple is an ideal choice. It is a light, straight grained wood and extremely hard-wearing.
For something a little different - sweet chestnut or elm looks great.
Not technically a hardwood, pine has a timeless appeal and mixes well with other woods.
Remember, by default, we use only real wood in our kitchens, even the carcasses are handmade from real wood.
If a Crick House hardwood kitchen interests you, there are a number of ways forward -
